New Updates in Online Appointment System for Singapore Driving Licence
Singapore driving licence holders will soon experience a more streamlined process for updating their driving licence details.
Starting from May 13 onwards, the Traffic Police will implement an online appointment service, discontinuing walk-ins for some driving licence services such as updating driving licence photos or changing citizenship status.
Individuals collecting, cancelling, or requiring a driving licence extract must utilise the new online appointment system available on the e-Services page of the Singapore Police Force’s website.
For those seeking to convert foreign driving licences, an online form will be provided following a successful trial for Malaysian driving licence holders last year.
Upon application submission, applicants can expect updates via email within six weeks. Successful applicants will be allocated an appointment date and time to finalise the conversion process at the TP headquarters, where all supporting documents must be presented for verification.
While walk-ins will still be accommodated from April 29 to May 12, they will cease from May 13 onwards, except for long-term visit pass holders renewing or replacing their driving licences.
The Traffic Police requests understanding as they manage a high volume of applications for converting foreign driving licences, ensuring document authentication and eligibility criteria compliance.
